Chapter 19 - Corinthians and Galatians Apostolic Counsel for Confused Churches

Galatians

Chapter 1: Paul introduces himself as an apostle and defends his gospel against those who challenge him. 

Chapter 2: Paul discusses his ministry, including the Jerusalem Council and his encounter with Peter. 

Chapter 3: Paul elaborates on the concept of faith in Christ and contrasts it with the law. 

Chapter 4: Paul continues the discussion on faith and the freedom it offers, contrasting it with the bondage of the law. 

Chapter 5: Paul encourages Galatians to live freely in the Spirit and warns against the works of the flesh. 

Chapter 6: Paul concludes with practical instructions, urging the Galatians to help one another and to live according to the Spirit.

1 Corinthians

 Chapter 5: The ministry of reconciliation and the judgment to come. 

 Chapter 6: A spiritual father's appeal to his children. 

 Chapter 7: The meeting with Titus and its consequences. 

 Chapter 8: Encouragement for generous giving to help the poor in Jerusalem. 

 Chapter 9: Results of generous giving and the gratitude of the giver. 

 Chapter 10: Paul's defense of his apostleship and authority. 

 Chapter 11: Paul forced into foolish boasting and a comparison with false apostles. 

 Chapter 12: Paul's visions and revelations, and his sufferings and appeals. 

 Chapter 13: Final warnings and a call to self-examination, and a closing greeting.

Genesis 1:28 - What Does ‘Replenish the Earth’ Mean?

 What Does ‘Replenish the Earth’ Mean? The word ‘replenish’ cannot be used to support ideas about a previous creation, which was destroyed. This article explains why. Question: Genesis 1:28 (KJV) in the King James Version (KJV) contains the expression ' replenish the earth '. Some have used this translation to support the 'gap theory', also known as the 'Ruin-Reconstruction theory', which involves the necessity for God to re-fill the earth after a pre-Adamic race had perished as a result of a so-called 'Lucifer's flood'. Is this interpretation correct? Answer: No. The word ‘replenish’ occurs seven times in the KJV: here in Genesis 1:28 (KJV), again in Genesis 9:1 (KJV) (both times in the imperative), and five times in three major prophets in the passive and causative forms.
