Numbers 8 for Today

Sin Offering → Christ’s atonement Jesus fulfills the purpose of the sin offering by cleansing us from sin so we can approach God (Heb. 9:13–14; 2 Cor. 5:21). Ministry always begins with grace, not worthiness.

Burnt Offering → Christ’s total obedience Christ’s life and death reflect the burnt offering’s total devotion—He gave Himself wholly to the Father (Eph. 5:2; Heb. 10:7). Believers respond by offering their lives fully to God (Rom. 12:1).

Wave Offering → Christ and the Church set apart for service Just as the Levites were “presented” to God and then given back to serve Israel, believers are presented to God through Christ and then sent into service (John 17:19; Eph. 2:10).

Big idea: God cleanses His servants, claims them as His own, and then commissions them for His work—seen in Numbers 8, fulfilled in Christ, and lived out in the Church today.
